Which data will we gather?


If a visitor leaves a comment on the site, we will gather the data sent in the form, the IP address of the visitor and the browser user agent to help detect spam.

An anonymized string, based on your email address, could be sent to the Gravatar service if used. For more information see After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be publically visible in relation to your comment.


If you are a registered user and you upload pictures to the site, you should avoid pictures with EXIF GPS locations attached. Visitors of the site will be able to download the picture and see your location.


When you leave a comment on the site, you can indicate if you want your name, email address and website saved in a cookie. This will be done to increase convenience: you won’t have to fill in the same information for a new comment. This cookie is valid for a year.

If you visit our login page, we will temporarily save a cookie to check if you browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal information is deleted when you close the browser.

When you login, we will save a few cookie related to your login and display settings. Login cookies are saved for 2 days and cookies for display method are saved for a year. If you select “remember me”, you login will be saved for 2 weeks. If you logout your cookie will be deleted.

When you publicize or alter a message an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie will contain no personal data and will only save the post ID of the aticle of the product you altered. This cookie deletes after a day.

Embedded content from other sites.

Content from this site can contain embedded content from other sites (for example: videos, pictures, messages). Embedded content behave the same way as if you are on their website. These websites could collect data from you, use cookies, include tracking from third parties and monitor your interaction in this embedded content, including you interaction with the content if you are logged in in their website.

With whom do we share our data?


We collect information about you during the checkout process on our store.

What we collect and store

While you visit our site, we’ll track:

  • Products you’ve viewed: we’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed
  • Location, IP address and browser type: we’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping
  • Shipping address: we’ll ask you to enter this so we can, for instance, estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

We’ll also use cookies to keep track of basket contents while you’re browsing our site.

When you purchase from us, we’ll ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details and optional account information like username and password. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints

  • Set up your account for our store
  • Comply with any legal obligations we have, such as calculating taxes

If you create an account, we will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 10 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfil orders, process refunds and support you.

What we share with others

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you; for example Mollie and Trunkrs


We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

MailPoet newsletter & emails

If you have subscribed to our newsletter or if you are a member of our website (you can log in) or if you have purchased on our website, there is a good chance you will receive emails from us.

We will only send you emails which you have signed up to receive, or which pertain to the services we provided to you.

To send you emails, we use the name and email address you provide us. Our site also logs the IP address you used when you signed up for the service to prevent abuse of the system.

This website can send emails through the MailPoet sending service. This service allows us to track opens and clicks on our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters.

No identifiable information is otherwise tracked outside this website except for the email address.

MailPoet creates and stores two cookies if you are using WooCommerce and MailPoet together. Those cookies are:

Cookie name: mailpoet_revenue_tracking

Cookie expiry: 14 days.

Cookie description: The purpose of this cookie is to track which newsletter sent from your website has acquired a click-through and a subsequent purchase in your WooCommerce store.

This website uses the Privacy Suite for WordPress by Complianz to collect and record Browser and Device-based Consent. Flame Away uses Flespakket as their delivery provider in the Netherlands. To facilitate this process, we share the data required for the delivery of the Flame Away to Flespakket. For more information see their site.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
